I love it Flying possum night ride - Hugo Paxton - 12/12/03 Had a cool night ride with cycle tours lights on my avanti bike and a swim in the Whangarei falls (Parahaki scenic reserve) on a beautiful southern hemisphere evening. Made it to the other side of the falls, serious adventure activity, swimming with a little blown up tube and my glow stick. Website - Rowena Paxton - 12/10/03 Your website looks great. I haven't looked at it for ages and note the various updates! Looking at the piccies made me yearn for the beautiful beaches, startling blue seas and verdant countryside. Not long now! We're Moving to the Town Basin Kiosk, Whangarei - Paul Doherty - 08/24/03 Yes - great news!! From October the Cycle Touring Company can be found at the Town Basin Kiosk, 45 Quay Street, Whangarei. Ph: +64 (0)9 430 2030. We'll be running tours, day trips (art tours, kids tours, great sights, Whangarei Heads trips etc), renting bikes, doing bike courier and rickshaw deliveries - a hive of bicycle activity! Drop by and see for yourself! We'll even have "Boatie Bikes" for the international crusing folk who stop in Whangarei for the summer. The 4th NZ Cycling Conference is to be held in Auckland on 10-11 October 2003 - we hope the Cycle Touring Company will be able to make it! The Cycle Touring Company is looking into organising a tour from Whangarei to Wellington (The Length of the North Island!) as part of a fund-raising exercise for the "Cycle-Walkway Network",using a Steam Train as our support vehicle for luggage, supporters and stragglers! Tour duration about two weeks. Cost to be advised, but probably not cheap! Would you like to be part of this historic journey, cycle the North Island and help support our cycling infrastructure? Your advise and careful planning was of immense importance and made my trip a very successful one, and I can strongly recommend the same or one ofyour other trips to everyone who loves cycling. The route description, accommodation, bike and maps were simply superb. The description was accurate with interesting comments and suggestions, the accommodation was varied and very good. The bike was perfect, and the maps were without doubt the best ones that any cycletour organizer have provided me with. I would love to go back to Northland, and I hope that I will have the opportunity to do so sometime in the future on another cycle trip and meet you, Carole and Maddie again. I have found my biking buddy Paul to be an inspiring task-master while cycling on or off the roads. He has a genuine passion for cycling. We were greatly impressed with the efficiency and organisation of your enterprise and we really enjoyed the stay with Eliza and Dennis at Karamea House. Your planning and directions were spot on. We have no complaints. The route-guide is a very good memoir of the whole weekend and we would not like to be without it. All fourr of us thank you for a well-planed weekend break.
