Begins at Omapere on the majestic Hokianga Harbour. |

Climb up into the ancient Waipoua Kauri Forest. Visit “Tane Mahuta”, NZ’s largest Kauri tree, literally a “god of the forest” and ride on to your delightful lodge. Enjoy a well-earned evening meal before turning in. |

Cycle down to Dargaville, via the Kaiiwi Lakes for a picnic lunch. |

Optional loop-ride down a wild west coast beach returning along the Wairoa River on the northern arm of the Kaipara Harbour. |
